FULL METAL DOJO 6 WILL GO AHEAD DESPITE THIS WEEK’S BOMB ATTACK IN BANGKOK.

Full Metal Dojo 6: ‘For Those About to Rock…’ is set for the Insanity Nightclub in Bangkok this weekend and show will go ahead despite the attack earlier this week in which 20 people lost their lives.

A bomb went off in the Rajaprasong area of the city at around 7pm on Monday night injuring over 100 people. Since then the city has been on high alert but the FMD organisers say that their event will proceed as planned with an eight fight card.

The main event sees top Thai prospect Pongsiri Mitsatit (4-0) return to take on debutant Wisava Kaweewarakorn in a strawweight contest while there will also be a chance for fight fans in Bangkok to get a first glimpse at Chamlong Chaream.

Chaream (1-0) made his pro debut at Malaysian Invasion earlier this year when knocked out MIMA Season 1 winner and TUF: ‘China’ veteran Allen Chong. He will be looking for the second win of his pro career when he takes on Muay Thai veteran Yodkaikaew Fairtex.

There will also be another elite level Muay Thai fighter in action at FMD 6 with former Rajadamnern champion Teerayut Kawrat set to make his pro debut against submission specialist Veerayuth Uttapan (1-0).

The card consists predominantly of Thai fighters but there will also be mixed martial artists from all over the world in action including Ibrahim Eid and Amr Elgohary from Egypt, Jan Steinbacher from Germany, Luke Moleno from the Philippines and Nikolai Kozyrev from Russia.
