TUNE TALK TO PRESENT THE FIRST EVER MMA WEEK IN KUALA LUMPUR THIS OCTOBER.

Tune Talk, One of Malaysia’s largest mobile players, has teamed up Asia’s largest MMA promotion to bring fight fans in Malaysia a week-long extravaganza dedicated solely to the sport of mixed martial arts.

As part of the week, Malaysian fight fans will get the chance to witness ONE’s unique brand of MMA in Kuala Lumpur on 9 October with ONE: TIGERS OF ASIA at Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil.

The following day will see MMA’s finest amateur athletes battle it out in the Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts (MIMMA) tournament Grand Finals on 10 October.

After months of intense training and qualification through various gruelling rounds, the top contenders will challenge the current title holders in their respective weight divisions for the chance to be crowned the new champion of the amateur league.

Victor Cui, CEO of ONE Championship, said ONE is very excited to bring fight week to Kuala Lumpur together with Tune Talk as we know this is what the Malaysian fans are craving. They are all very excited to see their favourite local and international MMA heroes back in the cage.”

“Tune Talk has been ONE’s partner in Malaysia ever since we started, and have been pivotal in helping produce local MMA talent here through their amateur fight tournament, MIMMA.

“MIMMA has uncovered so many new talents and ONE would serve as a great platform for them to go professional someday, representing their country on an international platform. This October, there will be an extra special fight week as there will be two fight events happening in Kuala Lumpur, specially for ONE and MIMMA fans.”

Jason Lo, CEO of Tune Talk, added that Tune Talk was very excited to partner with ONE again for an explosive week of MMA in Malaysia.

“MIMMA has been another great success this year and we can’t wait to see who will dominate their own categories in the Grand Finals this October 10. Some of our previous winners have already progressed to the professional league in the ONE cage and we would like to produce more future world champions from Malaysia in a world-class organization such as ONE through MIMMA.”

There will also be a special weigh-in ceremony for the first time combining both professional and amateur fighters from ONE and MIMMA as well as an MMA summit with seminars being held in local gyms. More details will be announced at a later date.
