TWO OF ROAD FC’S BIGGEST STARS WILL GO HEAD-TO-HEAD IN AN EVENT DUBBED FEATHERWEIGHT SUPERFIGHT.

Two Road FC champions will go head to head in Wonju on 22 August when the organisation’s 135 lbs title holder Lee Yun-Jun goes up against its reigning featherweight king Choi Mu-Gyeom.

The event is being described as a ‘featherweight super fight’ so presumably it is set for 145 lbs. Gyeom (6-3) triumphed in a tournament to win that title and has defended it successfully once, with split decision wins over Doo Won Seo and Bae Yong Kwon respectively.

Yun-Jun (9-2) is riding a seven fight winning streak which has helped establish him as one of Road FC’s biggest stars. He knocked out Gil Woo Lee to win the 135 lbs title and then defended it successfully with a hard fought decision win over Jae Hoon Moon.

The card will also feature three up and coming Koreans that Road FC is looking to showcase. Featherweight Kwon Min-Seok, who starred in a reality TV show, will make his pro debut while atomweight female fighter Jeong Eun Park (0-1) and undefeated bantamweight Hyung-Geun-Park (2-0) will both be in action.

Next up is Road FC 24 this Saturday night in Tokyo. It will be a first foray into Japanese territory for the Korean promotion and the card features a number of Pride veterans and will be headlined by a middleweight title match between Riki Fukuda and Uh Jin Jeon.
