DOUBLE LEG TAKEDOWN

DOUBLE LEG TAKEDOWN IS ONE OF THE MOST WELL-KNOWN AND EFFECTIVE TECHNIQUES IN GRAPPLING AND MMA.

TRAINING TIPS

1. Duck underthe punch by dropping to one knee, keep your elbows in tight as you’re preparing to shoot in for the takedown. Maintain a good defensive positioning and stay as low as possible.

2. Wrap both arms around lower hip. Your head should end up near your opponent’s left hip as that it the closest one to him.

3. Lift your opponent up with good form and a straight back.

4. Drive him to the ground and try to maintain control.

5. Lion moves his right knee to Ross’ stomach and then begins to rain down punches.
